    Rain Droplets

I thought this assignment was fun and simple. I basically looked at all of the objects around me and tried to make it sound like I was in some type of weather or in some weather. The weather I chose was rain droplets. I am sitting right underneath my air conditioner so it sounds like the outdoors quietness and then I produced rain droplets by using my fingernails to hit against the tingy part of the bottom of a mirror sitting with me. Rain is my favorite sound because it is peaceful and calm. Rain makes me realize that all of the earth will be happier and more vivacious once…

    Instrumental vs. Vocals

For this assignment, I decided to Mashup Paramore’s song Ain’t it Fun, and Bach’s Prelude in E Major so that they were at least both in the same key. Then I tried to match them up perfectly in time, but I couldn’t exactly figure it out, but I think it sounds cool!!! It gave me a hard time trying to upload to SoundCloud, but I finally got it. I hope you like it.

    Weekly Summary 6

This week had a lot of work to do, yet not as much for digital studies this week. I did feel as if I got to learn about design this week, in different ways than before. I have been incorporating Canva in a lot of my posts just because it is an easy software to copy, paste, crop, and just do whatever I need really. I am creative with Canva though because most people don’t use it like me… most people just use it to create flyers, social media posts and for photo collages.  To the right, these are my daily creates from this week. I also have been working…

For this assignment, I took the best pictures from this week to post in a Designlitz. This was an interesting project because I took a bunch of pictures this week and came together to post them today. These I think were the best five examples that I took. Proportion is symmetry with a twist. This photo is from my store that I work at called Latitudes Fair-trade. You can put lights in these, candles, or incense… anyways I took the tree egg, and made it the center piece of symmetry.

    Senses connect design

“It doesn’t occur to most people that everything is designed — that every building and everything they touch in the world is designed,” the late and great Bill Moggridge, designer of the world’s first laptop, famously reminded us.    This quote above reminds us that design is such an important part of history that we need to remind ourselves in our everyday lives. As a musician, I make art that is intangible that is all merely based on emotions. Music makes me realize that every single thing that we come in contact with is designed. My favorite example I have ever been apart of when speaking of design was when I went…

Prompt: Create a missing posters flyer for a fictional movie/show character, made-up person, animal, or a real person. Be sure to include a picture, the name, characteristics, and last seen date and place. Let your imagination do the talking for this poster!   For this particular project, because I was watching Pretty Little Liars and it just so happened to begin with Ally who is missing…. I might have spoiled the show when looking up some of the facts about her, but that’s ok!

    Logo- Simple, yet detailed.

As designers are shifting towards the KISS – Keep it simple stupid formula and create Logos that are super simple and easy to understand. I want a challenging Logo that is simple yet detailed. So for this assignment, I realized I had already made something simple yet creative for the UMW Jazz band!

    *Quote with a New Feeling*

We have heeded no wisdom offering guidance. Only by learning to love one another can our world be saved. Only love can conquer all.—  Dora Russell     I went to a random quote generator at this website https://miniwebtool.com/random-quote-generator/     Then I placed musical sound effects behind it to create this:

    Weekly Summary 5

Well, this was a busy week for digital studies to say the least. I started the week off by using audio through my daily create. Then I used my artistic digital skills to create a comedic design. Lastly, I took a picture of myself and made a valentines creation putting my own version of crazy glasses on. For this week it seemed like the most stressful, for absolutely no reason other than we had a lot of work. I actually had a lot of assignments due for other classes as well. I did enjoy these assignments, but it just took up a lot of my time. I went to NYC…
